Duties and Responsibilities
A lab position, research assistant I is available in Dr. Zang's lab at the Burn and Shock Trauma Research Institute in the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago. The research area of the laboratory is focused on mitochondrial signaling in cardiac dysfunction and cardiac autophagy in sepsis using both in vitro and in vivo models. The prospective candidate will have opportunities to gain experience of utilizing various techniques and to work within a highly interactive, multidiscipline team to do translational research.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field. Or equivalent training acquired via work experience or education.
Experience
Required: Previous lab working experience
Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
