How will you make an impact? As Sr. Director, Global Commercial Training, you will shape and lead the vision for global training excellence at Glaukos Corporation. By developing cutting-edge training strategies and programs, you'll directly enhance the effectiveness of the global commercial organization, elevate salesforce performance, and improve physician and customer engagement. Your leadership will drive knowledge transfer, clinical proficiency, and commercial success in complex and evolving markets. What will you do?
- Develop and execute a global commercial training strategy aligned with corporate objectives and product labeling.
- Lead the creation and delivery of innovative, multi-format training programs (e.g., LMS, virtual, live, hands-on labs).
- Oversee new hire onboarding, advanced training, and annual sales meeting preparation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product marketing, R&D, and market access to ensure training reflects evolving market and clinical needs.
- Manage global content development for both basic and advanced curricula, ensuring clinical and technical accuracy.
- Introduce new delivery techniques and tools, including artificial tissue models and digital platforms.
- Build and coach a high-performing training team across geographies.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.
- Support field trainers and partner with regional coordinators to deploy content globally.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory and compliance standards.
How will you get here? Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field required.
Experience:
- 15+ years in ophthalmic sales or marketing, including technical training and customer engagement.
- 7+ years in physician training environments preferred.
- 3-5 years in sales leadership, preferably in medical devices or pharma.
- Market access or healthcare reimbursement experience strongly preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proven success designing and executing global training strategies.
- Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially PowerPoint).
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
