DESCRIPTION OF WORK

To improve consumer mobility, it is essential to offer professional and accessible transportation services that prioritize safety, reliability, comfort, and courtesy. The role involves operating a county vehicle for an average of 150 miles daily, presenting a unique opportunity to deliver not only transportation but also valuable social interaction for clients, including senior adults and individuals who rely on wheelchairs. This position allows for a degree of independence while requiring excellent communication skills, both in face-to-face interactions and through two-way radio communication. A strong willingness and patience are necessary to assist consumers, particularly those who may need help navigating rough pavements or unpaved paths. Flexibility in adjusting to daily schedules is crucial, as is the ability to connect with people, as the role involves providing essential support and companionship throughout the day. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Part-time employment, 14 to 21+ hours per week.
- Work hours vary between 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Limited hours on Saturday.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
Condition of Employment:
- No suspension of driver's license within the last three years.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening and medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
