Medical Informatics Analyst, Consultant

Your Role

The Medi-Cal Analytics team supports the Medi-Cal Business Unit. The Medical Informatics Analyst - Consultant will report to the Senior Manager, Medical Informatics. In this role you will support compliance & regulatory reporting, mandated projects, and clinical key indicators for Medi-Cal and Dual -Special Need Program (D-SNP).

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Master's degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Computer Science, Health Services Research, or similar
• Must be able to develop and modify SQL and SAS scripts and be able to wrangle large datasets, join multiple datasets
• Strong working experience in SAS
• 7 years of experience as a Medical Informatics Analyst - Consultant, Business Intelligence Developer, Application Support Engineer, Software Engineer, or other similar role
• 5 years of experience in healthcare (managed care, academic, or government payer)
• Ability to work with a variety of clinical coding systems
• Experience with Managed Care, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, and/or coordination of Care
• Experience preparing complex reports and studies for a variety of use cases, including cost of health care analysis, quality improvement, enhancing operations and addressing identified issues
• Practical knowledge of agile and project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
