Senior Civil Engineer Supervisor (Bridges)

In this role, you will assist the Assistant District Bridge Engineer responsible for overseeing inspections by fostering an environment conducive to the implementation of a robust and efficient bridge inspection program. Your responsibilities will encompass the supervision of internal staff as well as the management of consultant inspection contracts, ensuring that all activities align with the compliance standards established by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the National Bridge Inspection Standards. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, as you will be tasked with not only meeting but exceeding the compliance metrics, thereby enhancing the overall safety and integrity of bridge structures within the district. Your leadership will be crucial in coordinating efforts among various stakeholders, ensuring that inspections are conducted thoroughly and that any identified issues are addressed promptly and effectively.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Six years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
• Two years of professional civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline; or
• Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and an associate's degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline.
