Job Description

We're looking for a sharp, detail-loving Operations Coordinator to help keep Jackson County Public Health (JCPH) fiscally sound and running smoothly. You'll support grant management, budgeting, purchasing, and reporting while partnering with teams across the department. If you're great with numbers, systems, and people-and love making things run more efficiently-this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate post-award grant activities including budgeting, compliance, reporting, and reconciliation

  • Support medical billing, accounts payable/receivable, and vendor payments

  • Maintain databases for tracking grants, contracts, MOUs, and financial documents

  • Monitor spending, flag issues, and help develop budget forecasts and amendments

  • Assist in preparing invoices, reimbursements, and financial reports

  • Support procurement, capital projects, and other cross-departmental initiatives

  • Participate in quality improvement, performance management, and compliance activities

  • Represent JCPH with professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and confidentiality

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience (5+ years in operations, grants, or fiscal management)

  • 3+ years in high-level administrative roles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), especially Excel

  • Experience with federal, state, or local grant financial management

  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and independent problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project coordination abilities

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
