The Director of Analytics will spearhead the development and execution of organizational analytics strategy, manage relationships with partners and stakeholders, and lead various analytics personnel in a federated capacity. This role will oversee key analytics governance forums, including the Data Management Committee, and drive data literacy initiatives as a cornerstone of our strategy.

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.
  • Develop and implement the Stanford Medicine Children's Health data analytics strategy in alignment with organizational goals, ensuring adoption of emerging trends.
  • Lead the design and maintenance of enterprise-wide dashboards, reports, and data models, ensuring they drive actionable insights and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative leadership to identify key metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement through focused analytics initiatives.
  • Oversee data governance initiatives to ensure data integrity, quality, and security, thereby establishing a robust data foundation for analytics.
  • Partner with IT leadership to ensure appropriate infrastructure, tools, and technology are in place to support advanced analytics and manage demand and capacity effectively.
  • Translate complex data into clear narratives and recommendations for senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Stay current with emerging healthcare analytics trends and best practices to continually enhance the analytics program.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard data, aligning with the organizational security policies and compliance requirements.
  • Drive strategic development by setting clear priorities, managing resources, and ensuring the analytics strategy aligns with the broader organizational objectives.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in business management, Computer Science Clinical Informatics, Nursing or related field.

Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years in progressively responsible roles within Information Technology, with significant experience in healthcare IT.

Licensure/Certification: none.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Data Management: Extensive understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data quality, and data stewardship.
  • Analytics Tools: Familiarity with various analytics tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Data Literacy: Comprehensive understanding of data literacy concepts to foster a data-driven culture within the organization.
  • Healthcare Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare industry practices, particularly in pediatric healthcare, to align analytics strategies with organizational goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and execute analytics strategies that support business objectives and drive performance improvements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external partners, effectively communicating and managing expectations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.

Pay Range
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $96.09 to $127.43
