Introduce and promote innovative, cost-saving ideas during proposal efforts. Assess and evaluate existing equipment and structures in brownfield substation projects. Validate construction sub-contractor bids and negotiate sub-contracts. Prepare and support the execution of engineering activities with a focus on on-time delivery and quality. Develop design criteria and document deliverables for projects. Provide engineering support in areas such as grading, drainage, foundation design, and equipment specifications. Resolve design issues and ensure compliance with national and local codes. Perform technical reviews of design packages and support construction and field engineering.
Your background
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field. Professional Engineer (PE) certification required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and structural engineering. Proficiency in engineering design software and tools. Strong knowledge of applicable standards and codes. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
