Join our Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions Finance and Commercial Management team as the Head of Business Finance and Transformation. In this role, you will play a key leadership role overseeing finance strategy, business partnering and transformation across the finance function. You will be responsible for driving financial performance, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting strategic decision-making. You will also bring strong analytical skills, exceptional business acumen, and an ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team in a complex, fast-paced environment. This role will report to the Head of Finance and Commercial Management and serve as a member of the Finance and Commercial Management Leadership Team.
In this role you will:
* Serve as a visionary business advisor, driving the strategic financial agenda and spearheading transformation, integration, and innovation across the finance function. Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making at the executive level. * Collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders to enhance finance processes, governance structures, technology platforms, reporting mechanisms, and talent development strategies to ensure organizational agility and excellence. * Lead the preparation and management of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to targets. Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions. * Translate business line strategies into actionable financial plans and targets, offering insightful and constructive challenges throughout budgeting and forecasting processes. * Guarantee precise and timely execution of key deliverables for financial close, forecast reviews, and rolling business plans by maintaining close engagement with supported teams to proactively identify and mitigate potential challenges before they escalate. * Oversee financial reporting and analysis to the broader Ericsson finance group, delivering insights on key performance indicators, trends, and opportunities. Present findings to executive leadership and other key stakeholders to support strategic initiatives. * Critically evaluate and enhance management reporting quality and accuracy, challenging the status quo where necessary. Leverage technology and AI to enhance financial analysis, forecasting accuracy, and decision-making capabilities. * Proactively identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential impacts. Ensure a zero-tolerance ethics and compliance agenda and support global compliance programs. * Analyze and evaluate investment opportunities, capital expenditures, and other financial decisions, providing recommendations that enhance profitability and growth. * Drive initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve efficiency, and enhance operational effectiveness within the business unit. * Engage in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling to support executive decision-making including but not limited to M&A activities, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and financial integrity. * Support Head of Finance and Commercial Management to prepare finance-related communications for internal and external stakeholders, including the board of directors, auditors, and regulatory bodies. * Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Conduct performance reviews and support career development opportunities. * Drive momentum as it relates to integration and harmonization into broader Ericsson processes and systems.
To be successful in the role, you will also bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, CFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a track record of success in a high growth company balancing hands-on involvement and strategic leadership.
- Experience in business with multiple go-to-market channels in the high tech or similar industry strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including advanced Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of risk management principles and practices, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
- Ability to lead teams through integrations and/or financial system & process changes.
