This position is accountable for the implementation and maintenance of vendor managed inventory of Sherwin-Williams Aerospace Coatings products. The Inventory Technician is responsible for the accurate accounting and physical stocking of our products at the customer site. The role will act as a liaison between our sales and blending facility and the customer production planning and purchasing teams to provide accurate forecasts of the products needed. This includes placing the orders and tracking them from PO to delivery to achieve the key goal of always having the necessary level of inventory on hand of all products needed to fully support the customer's production schedule. Additional responsibilities include promoting clear communication between all involved to establish agreed upon delivery dates and priorities as well monitoring the production schedule for changes that may necessitate a supply priority shift. Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Build relationships within the identified existing accounts. Actively build relationship with Production Planning personnel at existing customer locations to anticipate and prevent over or under building factory-packaged paint to customer requirements. Build and manage relationships with Sales, Technical and Operations Staff. Answer questions for co-workers and customers regarding status of product deliveries, PDS, SDS, EDS, etc. Familiarize self with all products and procedures including product application and preparation. Allow self to be readily accessible to customer for advice/assistance through use of cell phone and in person. Effectively communicate to fellow employees and customers through Outlook Email. Give immediate attention to customer comments and complaints and inform others accordingly. Required: Required:
