This position reports to

Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve as the primary interface between distributor/commercial contractor customer and ABB. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also plan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share and margin and motivate Electrical contractors to prefer ABB industrial solutions over the competition.
The work model for the role is hybrid in Austin, TX. #LI-Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in North America.
You will be mainly accountable for:
* Collaborate with distributors to set future sales targets and strategies, maintain objectives throughout year, ensuring targets are met and/or exceeded
* Communicating to the customers about details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB's offering and strategy.
* Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.
* Develop and maintain productive working relationships with assigned electrical contractors, at all levels of their organizations.
* Monitor pricing agreement utilization and adjust plans as needed.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university/college with 3+ years of sales experience or GED/High School Diploma with 5+ years sales experience.
  • Ability to travel an estimated 50% of the time, primarily in the Austin/Waco area.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites on a weekly basis.
  • An educational background in Engineering or Business Management is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
