Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Associate
FLSA Status: Full Time - non-exempt
Reports to: Assistant Property Manager
Schedule: 40hrs/week

Rate of Pay: $15.50/hr

Benefits: Standard; Full-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:

Function:
Assists the property manager with the overall upkeep of all High Peak Camp property. They work to maintain the grounds, vehicles, and buildings along with any other related maintenance needs. At times, this position will assistant in housekeeping duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assists Property Manager with maintenance programs for heating, water, gas, electrical, mechanical, grounds, carpentry, painting, plumbing, building exteriors, etc.
* Assists Property Manager in identifying needed repairs or replacements.
* Completes minor repairs (i.e., small appliances, small equipment).
* Assists with preventive maintenance to refurbish or replace deteriorating items and avoid future costly repairs.
* Advises Property Manager concerning needed equipment repairs or low supplies.
* Completes special projects as directed (i.e., room alterations, major repairs).
* Assists in housekeeping duties when needed.
* Lifts and moves heavy furniture and equipment.
* Keeps grounds litter-free.
* Assists with landscaping and lawn maintenance.
* Assists with the removal of snow, ice, and other traffic hazards.
* Assists with floor maintenance (vacuuming, mopping).
* Assist with vehicle maintenance and upkeep.
* Be responsible for the needs of all staff members in regard to repairs, janitorial, and maintenance in their respective areas.
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
* Remain in full compliance with all Salvation Army policies and procedures outlined within the employee handbook and directed by authorized Salvation Army departments.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Camp Director or other administrative staff.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
* Minimally 21 years of age and possessing a valid Colorado Driver's License
* Ability to operate a standard camp vehicle.
* Education and/or work experience commensurate with the duties and responsibilities required.
* Ability to speak and write the English language with professional-level skill.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to maneuver. Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to operate telephone. Ability to lift to 50 pounds. Ability to work at height while harnessed at 50 or more feet from the ground. Ability to access and produce information from the computer. Ability to understand written information.
