Job Description

Oncology is a key therapeutic area for AbbVie, with a portfolio consisting of marketed products and a promising oncology pipeline.

Seeking an exceptional Assistant Scientific Director, Medical Affairs and Health Impact precision medicine (contractor) in Oncology with a strong background in cancer diagnostics, biomarkers, cancer therapeutics and a demonstrated strong commitment to precision medicine.

Responsibilities:

- The contracting role will be responsible for executing on key deliverables for US go-to-market strategy with direction from the Assistant Scientific Director, Medical Affairs, Precision Medicine associated with c-Met in NSCLC. This role will

o Execute on medical strategy deliverables for c-Met NSCLC companion diagnostics.

o Support execution at key pathology congresses.

o Support execution of medical education activities, including digital activities.

o Support execution of medical review of medical and commercial promotional materials.

o Support field medical education on biomarker activities and materials.

o Supports advisory board execution.

- Qualifications:

o Advanced scientific degrees such as PhD, MD, PharmD, MBA.

o Minimum industry experience required: Bachelors 8+ years experience, Master's 6+ years experience, PhD 3+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent; substantial understanding of relevant therapeutic area required.

o Prior US specific launch experience support with a companion diagnostic or complementary diagnostic preferably in oncology space.

o Prior experience with US specific testing landscape stakeholders including diagnostic partners, academic and community pathologists, oncologists with precision medicine expertise and reference laboratory stakeholders is a must.

o US Medical affairs experience preferred, but experience in a diagnostic company, reference laboratory or other functions in pharma will be considered.

o Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
