Tax Director, North America
Location: Madison, WI or Wall, NJ
(Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Now, we're looking for a Tax Director, North America to lead our regional tax function and help us navigate complex tax landscapes with clarity, strategy, and confidence.

What You'll Do

As Tax Director, North America, you'll take ownership of all tax-related matters for Fiskars entities in the U.S. and Canada. From overseeing compliance and accounting to managing audits and driving tax strategy, you'll be a trusted partner to the business and a key player in our global tax team. You'll also:

  • Lead the execution of Fiskars Group Tax Policy and Transfer Pricing Guidance across North America.

  • Provide expert support to business leaders on tax implications of new products, locations, and transactions.

  • Collaborate with external advisors to interpret and apply evolving tax regulations.

  • Manage federal, state, and local tax filings as well as indirect and property taxes.

  • Oversee tax accounting and reporting processes, with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.

  • Maintain tax risk management frameworks and lead responses to audits and inquiries.

  • Drive and support business-critical projects, including acquisitions and restructurings.

  • Actively contribute to global development initiatives, ensuring tax compliance and efficiency.

What You Bring

You're a skilled tax professional with a strategic mindset, strong technical expertise, and a hands-on approach to leadership. You thrive in dynamic, cross-functional environments and have a knack for simplifying complex issues.

We're looking for someone with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required

  • A Master's degree in Taxation or other advanced qualification preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate tax and/or public accounting, with a focus on U.S. and international taxation

  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. tax law, GAAP, and ideally IFRS

  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred) and tax engines like Vertex

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence across levels

  • A proactive attitude, collaborative spirit, and interest in leveraging AI and automation in tax operations
