  • Project Management:
    • Shepherd the Insect Control Trait project from greenhouse phenotypic screening to field nursery seed production
    • Coordinate with various teams to ensure smooth transition between project phases
  • Greenhouse Operations:
    • Assist in phenotypic screening of plant lines in the greenhouse setting
    • Document and report on observed traits and characteristics
  • Field Nursery Management:
    • Oversee seed production in the nursery
    • Conduct and record phenotypic observations in the field
    • Ensure proper labeling, data collection, and documentation of plant lines
  • Agronomic Evaluation:
    • Participate in the setup and execution of summer 2025 yield trials
    • Collect relevant agronomic data throughout the growing season
    • Maintain detailed records of environmental conditions, treatments, and plant responses
  • Data Analysis and Presentation (post-summer):
    • Collaborate with TE statisticians to analyze yield trial data
    • Interpret results and draw meaningful conclusions
    • Prepare and deliver a comprehensive presentation on the findings from the summer 2025 yield trials

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Agriculture, Plant Science, Biotechnology, or related field
  • Must be a current student continuing education upon completion of internship (cannot graduate prior to December 2025)
  • Strong understanding of plant biology and agricultural practices
  • Familiarity with basic statistical concepts and data analysis
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong written and verbal communication skill
