As a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department at Regions Hospital, you'll find yourself in a fast-paced environment with over 90,000 ED visits per year. Our Emergency Department has 55 treatment bays and is designed to treat patients in acuity-based care pods. Regions Hospital is one of only three hospitals in Minnesota that is verified as a Level I Trauma Center for both adults and for children with the expertise and technology to treat the most serious injuries 24/7.

The Physician Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care including obtaining histories, examining patients, ordering appropriate labs and x-rays, performing minor procedures, discussing treatment plans and following up with patients and their families.

Please note: new grads will not be considered for this opening.

Work Schedule:



  • Days/evenings/nights, one in three weekends.


Required Qualifications:



  • Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
  • Physician Assistant certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current Minnesota license.
  • ACLS.
  • BLS from an AHA- or ARC-sponsored program.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Three years of experience in ED/Emergency Medicine or urgent care.
  • ATLS/PALS


Additional Information:

This is a non-union 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) evening/night position working in Saint Paul, MN. The full salary range for this position is $67.26-$71.87 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differentials. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits.
