Location: Fort Worth, TX

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for supporting operations and maintenance, performing general interior and exterior maintenance tasks, and ensuring the smooth functioning of facility systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

General Maintenance:

  • Perform light commercial renovations, including painting, taping, texturing, and door/flooring installation
  • Install and repair kitchen/bathroom appliances and fixtures
  • Hang pictures, install keyboard trays, and repair office furniture systems
  • Conduct minor concrete and asphalt repairs
  • Replace interior and exterior lighting

Event Support:

  • Set up and deliver folding tables, chairs, signs, banners, and other equipment for conferences, food services, and special events

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

  • Operate street sweepers, forklifts, boom lifts, and battery-operated indoor man lifts
  • Perform preventive maintenance on assigned trucks and utility vehicles
  • Inspect and maintain Fitness Center equipment

Facility Systems:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems and equipment
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts
  • Report on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations

Safety and Compliance:

  • Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary
  • Comply with all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping practices
  • Identify and propose methods to eliminate safety hazards
  • Ensure compliance with State, County, and City Ordinances, Codes, and Laws

Customer Service and Collaboration:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and building occupants
  • Escort and supervise subcontractors performing work on campus
  • Assist the operations team in maintenance and repair tasks as directed

Seasonal Responsibilities:

  • Perform ice and snow removal as needed

Additional Duties:

  • Complete other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial building maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Ability to operate various maintenance equipment and vehicles
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Commitment to safety and compliance standards
  • Flexibility to work in various conditions and handle diverse tasks
