Vice President, District Manager
The District Manager role will be responsible for the overall success of multiple banking centers in a specific district. The role will build and retain a team of professionals dedicated to delivering a remarkable customer experience through effective leadership, achieving sales goals, operational efficiencies and developing a strong management team. To be effective in this role, the role must create and maintain strong relationships with business partners and will be a leader in community activities and functions.

Position Responsibilities
Sales/Service Leadership
- Lead, direct, and inspect sales, service and business development activities to achieve targeted results in the categories of deposits and customer relationship growth, customer retention, revenue, market share and customer/employee commitment and satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with assigned internal business partners such as Mortgage, Business Banking, Wealth Management, Business Bank, Securities, Merchant Services, and others; in order to develop lasting customer relationships and refer clients and prospects to each other.
- Actively coach and lead direct reports and team members on expected sales and service behaviors, utilization of sales tracking system, and other tools and resources, to create a consistent and extraordinary customer experience.
- Accountable for recruiting, building, developing and retaining a high performing sales and service team.
- Ensure delivery channels are used in an optimum manner and that the banking center distribution network is effectively and efficiently servicing customers.
- Accountable for overall satisfaction and retention of retail and business customers.

Talent Leadership
- Lead, coach, and manage a district of banking centers. Ensure the development and performance of employees in the areas of remarkable customer experience, relationship management, in-depth consumer and business product/service knowledge - execution, and risk management.
- Develop and manage high-performing banking center teams. Directly manage the Human Resources processes for employees including selection, training, performance management, disciplinary actions, individual career development and retention.
Profitability and Growth
- Manage financial targets and profitability.
- Manage specific market strategies to sustain current business and achieve growth targets in the district.
- Accountable for the compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations; and Comerica policies and procedures. Recommend corrections when necessary. Ensure compliance and completion of necessary compliance related training.
- Responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the banking centers by adhering to policies and procedures for the retail bank.
- Implement and monitor policies and procedures that maximize operational integrity within the retail bank.
- Responsible for the safety and soundness of the banking centers through managing risk, operational integrity and compliance.
Community
- Demonstrate Comerica's commitment to the communities in which we serve by being actively involved in the local community organizations.
- Be the face of Comerica in the community; and have a proven record of developing key relationships resulting in business generation.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university OR 8 years of Financial Services Management experience
- 10 years of experience in management with staff development; that is, direct management of staff to include responsibility for coaching, sales leadership, and operations
- 10 years of experience in operations
- 10 years of experience in retail or financial sales and business development
- 1 year of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

For candidates hired in the state of California, Colorado, Washington, New York the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently:
- California - $121,250 - $241,250 Annually
