HYBRID REQUIRED - Columbus, OH, 43230 Primary Role: Conduct background checks for distribution center operations candidates in a high volume, fast paced environment. Core responsibilities include accessing local public record sites to access background check information and using 3rd party background software system. Responsible for reviewing company adjudication guidelines, updating documents as needed and connecting with various business partners. Additional core responsibilities include: *Support the 6 county background check process *Background adjudication process once background report returns and provide results to background vendor and Talent Acquisition partner *Update case management system and close cases once employment decision is made by business partners *Oversee Motor Vehicle Report background checks with the Talent and Acquisition internal team *Work in partnership with the Asset Protection Specialist on the team *Security Alarm Permits and False Alarm Resolution program support. *Investigation of store and delivery driver false alarm activity working with cross functional partners *Troubleshoot repetitive store false alarms, place work orders as needed with the vendor and provide follow up with Asset Protection Resource team *Manage Alarm Permit Program resources in partnership with the Asset Protection Specialist which is a rolling responsibility for new stores and permit renewals *Fill out Alarm Permit applications, renewals, and submit documentation for processing *Index permit information so reapplication dates can be identified and met on time *Update which locations are required to have a permit on file *Provide alarm fines received to Asset Protection Specialist to invoice *Fill out New Vendor Forms/ upload to DocuSign to be reviewed/signed by Asset Protection Specialist and Senior Asset Protection Mgr *Work with cross functional internal partners and 3rd party jurisdictions *Top Skills' Details* Proficient in Excel: Ability to use VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills: Clear and concise communication is crucial. Experience with PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, and DocuSign: Familiarity with these tools is essential for daily tasks. Ability to work well with others: Collaboration with various teams and partners is a key part of the role. Solid self-initiative: Being proactive and able to manage tasks independently. *The top 3 to 5 skills *we are looking for from a candidate include good communication, proficient Excel skills, strong written and verbal skills, being fast and agile, the ability to work well with others, and solid self-initiative. The department and team the candidate will be working on consists of an immediate team of two. The candidate will report to the Senior Manager and work closely with the Asset Protection specialist on a day-to-day basis. This team is part of a larger Asset Protection Operations team of 12, which includes both office and field-based members. Although this role does not report directly to the talent/acquisition team for the distribution centers, there will be daily interaction with them. Candidates who stand out will have prior experience working with multiple teams in a project or day-to-day workspace, the ability to pivot between tasks, the ability to handle conflict within the workspace, and the vulnerability to ask questions. Disqualifiers for this role include a lack of follow-up, poor communication, and an unwillingness to take a partner when needed. The interview process for this role involves an interview with the Senior Manager and possibly a second interview. A typical day in this role involves being available during working business hours, working on a computer, and communicating with the immediate reporting team and other cross-functional partners in the talent/acquisition space. Communication will be expected via email, TEAMS, and phone. There is no chance that this role will be extended at this time. Can be someone who recently obtained a degree or someone with 2-5 years of work experience for this role. The role is open because it is contract-based and intended for the next year. The background portion of the role will be absorbed into another team, and the other portions of the job will be handled accordingly. *Experience Level* Entry Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.50/hr.
