What to Expect Tesla is seeking a skilled Construction Plumber to join our dynamic Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) project team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on advancing energy sustainability. What You'll Do Troubleshoot and maintain a wide range of piping systems, including domestic water, sanitary sewer, compressed air, nitrogen supply, chemical supply and waste, soft water, and argon Work with various piping materials such as PVC, CPVC, and copper, and demonstrate knowledge of ProPress fittings Install and maintain pumps, including transfer, sump, and both single and multistage centrifugal pumps Use complex plumbing, mechanical, and process piping schematics to plan work scopes, install improvements, and troubleshoot issues Consult manuals and interpret piping diagrams, P&IDs, blueprints, and schematics Display positive attitudes and practice good work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company What You'll Bring Minimum of 5+ years of experience in industrial plumbing Knowledge of industrial and process gases and liquids, hot and cold-water services, plumbing systems, and industrial chemical systems Proficiency in pipe section installation using couplings, clamps, screws, cement/glue, caulking, soldering, welding, and press-fit connections (ProPress) Ability to produce parts lists and work plans based on drawings or field observations Thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning Strong initiative and the ability to work independently and effectively with others Willingness to travel to other projects as needed Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
