Job Summary

The UCSF Neuro-Endovascular Surgery team is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our multidisciplinary team. This position supports the delivery of comprehensive care to patients undergoing complex neurovascular procedures, including stroke intervention, aneurysm treatment, and other minimally invasive cerebrovascular therapies.

The APP will work closely with neurosurgeons, interventional neuroradiologists, and the broader care team to coordinate pre- and post-procedural management, conduct inpatient rounds, provide outpatient follow-up, and contribute to patient education and quality initiatives. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical expertise in neurology or neurosurgery, strong procedural knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, academic medical environment.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $100.00- $130.31 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications

Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing approved or verified school of nursing with a master's degree in nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).

• One (1) year of NP experience in adult critical care medicine, Interventional Radiology, Surgical Services or completion of the UCSF Surgical and Critical Care Medicine APP Fellowship.
• This position requires flexibility to work at all UCSF Health facilities/locations

Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) years or greater NP experience in Neurology within the past five years, including independent ambulatory patient encounters and independent inpatient encounters.

License/Certification

• California driver's license (CDL) if required for position.
• Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.
  • Accepted Certifications for Adult Hybrid Inpatient and Outpatient position: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC;
• Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.
• Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner.
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address
• Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Curent AHA ACLS.
• State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice
• Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1
