DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Security Officer 1, your primary responsibility will be to monitor the facility and safeguard it against various potential threats, including fire, unauthorized individuals, and other risks. This role entails ensuring the security of several buildings on the premises and effectively responding to any emergencies that may occur. Additionally, you will assist visitors, patrol the grounds, and provide transportation for residents. Your duties will also include conducting investigations, which involve collecting evidence and interviewing victims, witnesses, and suspects. This aspect of the role is crucial for maintaining safety and addressing any incidents that may arise. You will collaborate with a team of professional staff, playing a vital role in fostering a secure environment for residents, employees, and visitors.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment (8 hours/day; 40 hours/biweekly)
- Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Rotating Schedule and work every other weekend. May changed based on operational need.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- This position may require travel and overtime.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
