Position Summary The Department of Genetics and Development is looking to hire Technician B to work in the laboratory of Dr. Mustafa Aydogan. The candidate will be technical support staff for the Principal Investigator and other lab investigators, as needed. Responsibilities Duties will include, but are not limited to the following: Under the supervision of a senior researcher, developing mathematical models or quantitative assays to analyze experimental data from the lab, published data from the literature or data for/from collaborators of the lab. Under the supervision of a senior researcher, performing analyses on RNA-seq, single-cell/nucleus RNA seq, transcriptional motif enrichment, ATAC-seq, CHIP-seq, proteomics, metabolics and any otherwise omics data sets. Under the supervision of a senior researcher, developing scripts, algorithms or image analyses pipelines to ease the quantitative protocols required for other lab members or collaborators. Together with the lab PI, helping draft introduction, results, methods, conclusions and figures of papers, and being responsible for generating online-available repositories for data sets. Performing any other possible computational needs of the laboratory. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested. Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics, or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
