This is a temporary, seasonal position beginning May 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2024 Responsibilities Operate large power lawn mowers, edger, hand tools, and vehicles associated with grounds maintenance and landscaping activities. Operate and maintain water sprinkler systems and time clocks. Maintain landscape and flower areas, remove debris from stairs and sidewalks, rake leaves, and keep parking lots clean of garbage. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Availability to work Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from May 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022. Minimum of 2 years running lawn equipment or something similar. Ability to adapt to changing conditions or work assignments. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing. Strong organizational skills. Attention to detail. Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple projects. Ability to adapt to changing conditions or work assignments. Excellent interpersonal abilities. Cultural sensitivity and an ability to build rapport with a diverse workforce in multicultural settings. Team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and co-workers. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (50 pounds) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects. Employees must be prepared to assume uncomfortable positions such as crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Additionally, the work environment can include confined or narrow spaces. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment. -OR- This position requires moderate physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting. This position requires nearly continuous standing, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead.
