Overview
The successful applicant will help keep campus grounds in neat and orderly condition by performing assigned duties. This is a temporary, seasonal position beginning May 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2024

Responsibilities
  • Operate large power lawn mowers, edger, hand tools, and vehicles associated with grounds maintenance and landscaping activities.
  • Operate and maintain water sprinkler systems and time clocks.
  • Maintain landscape and flower areas, remove debris from stairs and sidewalks, rake leaves, and keep parking lots clean of garbage.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Availability to work Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from May 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022.
  • Minimum of 2 years running lawn equipment or something similar.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions or work assignments.

Moderate Physical Duties:

The position requires considerable physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (50 pounds) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects. Employees must be prepared to assume uncomfortable positions such as crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Additionally, the work environment can include confined or narrow spaces. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
