In the role of CAD Technician, we'll count on you to:
- Create detailed electrical designs for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Create or revise drawings per client standards.
- Organize CAD files per program requirements and company standards.
- Coordinate drafting tasks with designers and engineers to complete projects on schedule.
- Create detailed electrical designs for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Perform basic system calculations, drawing production, some master specification editing, and cost estimating assistance.
- Perform assignments utilizing standard engineering techniques and procedures under the supervision of a licensed professional.
- Direct the efforts of less-experienced CAD Technicians as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience
- Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
- Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
- Experience with 3D Coordination tools
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential
- Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
