Summary:
The Intern, Strategic Planning is part of UNC Health's Strategic Planning team supporting development of the organization's strategy. This position is responsible for supporting the development of effective strategies across different regions, entities, service lines, and industry topics. The intern will partner with project teams to develop impactful strategies, develop hypotheses, conduct supporting analyses, and develop recommendations that are data-driven, thoughtfully designed, and aligned to organizational goals. The position may also support system-level initiatives and partnership strategies. This role is intended for the summer of 2025.

Preferred candidates will be actively enrolled in a Bachelors of Science of Public Health or Business Administration degree program, as this educational background is essential to the responsibilities of the role

Responsibilities:

Collaboration - Supports planning activities by collaborating with other teammates and project teams to drive successful planning engagements. Works effectively with leaders within the Strategic Planning team and across the organization.

Financial and Business Planning - Participates in cross-functional teams to produce business plans and develop recommendations for new initiatives and strategic opportunities.

Strategic Planning - Conducts analyses, develops presentations, and provides thoughtful recommendations to support leadership decision-making and identification of top priorities
