Bellperson

Always lending a helping hand with a smile. As a Bellperson, your passion for the property, and your respect for our guests' belongings will ensure that our guests Feel Welcome as soon as they arrive.

Rate of Pay: $18.50 per hour

What you will be doing:

  • Welcoming all guests and providing the highest level of guest satisfaction at every interaction
  • Timely delivery of guests' luggage, messages and any other items for delivery within the property
  • Personalize guests' orientation of their room in a professional, friendly and engaging way
  • Maintain a presence in the Lobby when not delivering luggage to guest rooms, offering assistance to Guests, under the direction of the Guest Services leaders.
  • Ensure that the Lobby and front entrance are kept clean, paying special attention to all glass areas and the main doors as well as anything left behind in the seating areas.
  • Ensure that all deliveries for Guests and colleagues are correctly recorded and then delivered to the correct destination in a timely fashion.
  • Undertake the duties and responsibilities of the Doorman, as directed by the Guest Service Manager.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge and adherence of Fairmont standards
  • Answer guest inquiries regarding Washington, D.C.and the hotel services and facilities
  • Ensure the arrival and departure of all tours is a seamless process and competed in a timely, efficient manner
  • Adherence to all Health & Safety responsibilities as it pertains to hotel emergencies, fire alarms, accidents, security
  • To assist with room changes as directed by the Front Office.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Service focused personality is essential; customer related experience an asset
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of ateam
  • This position requires standing for long periods of time, lifting and pulling up to 50lbs
