The Associate Director, HR Talent Management (TM) will play a key role in the Talent Management team by leading a sub-discipline of Baxter's global Talent Management strategy such as development programs and learning solutions, as well as substantial contributions across TM sub-disciplines.

What you'll be doing

  • Owner of sub-discipline, including formulating the strategy, crafting and developing tools, resources, programs/initiatives and completing the plan
  • Lead and deploy concurrent high visibility development programs/initiatives to build the knowledge, skills and leadership competencies of our executives, managers and professionals
  • Partner with external vendors/partners to lead sub-discipline, including staying abreast of industry best practices/ trends, acquiring benchmarking metrics or practices where available and contracting for services
  • Partner with internal team members to conduct needs assessments, provide solutions, solicit feedback to improve program design and delivery, and drive alignment on expectations
  • Lead train-the-trainer and/or leader as teacher strategies with internal and external team members which may include preparing executives or senior leaders to support, teach or sponsor programs
  • Build and implement communication and change plans to support development programs
  • Lead innovative design thinking that demonstrates technology to support blended delivery and self-service, micro-learning
  • Lead the work of core and extended team members, including establishing priorities and goals, implementing project planning and execution
  • Facilitate learning programs/content in a variety of modalities: as a coach, instructor led facilitation (classroom and webinar), driver of social media content
  • Establish assessment measures to evaluate short- and long-term efficiency of global development programs/initiatives and involve collaborators in reviewing outcomes
  • Contribute across TM subject areas by leading portions of initiatives or as extra hands for execution (includes org design & effectiveness, organizational change, listening systems, talent management processes)

What you'll bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in HR/Psychology/Leadership/Training and Development/or country equivalent is required. An MBA or Master's degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Leadership Development/Talent Management/Change Management/Organization Design/HR Business Partner
  • Experience in strategic planning, design, implementation and program management of large-scale talent processes, programs and initiatives
  • Shown success in program and initiative strategy development, including designing and developing high-quality training materials/resources
  • Experience in continuously improving technology solutions based on user feedback and emerging trends in leadership development
  • Excellent client relationship management and collaborating skills
  • Understand business environment (financial and other)
  • Executive presence and experience in collaborating with senior leaders
  • Ability to work in a highly matrix environment and influence team members
  • Ability to anticipate situations, stay ahead of trends and develop original and impactful talent and interpersonal effectiveness solutions
  • Strong facilitation skills in a variety of settings: small group, large group, virtual or classroom

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $160,000 - 220,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position is also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentive.
