Your Role With Us:As a Fitness and Wellness Coordinator at Salem Health, this role is centered on promoting a culture of health and wellbeing for employees and the broader community through the management and development of fitness and wellness programs. The coordinator plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Employee Fitness Center, maintaining up-to-date membership records, leading safety orientations, providing tours to prospective members, and ensuring the upkeep of equipment and cleanliness of the space. They actively engage with members to provide support, guidance, and motivation, while also coordinating fitness classes and wellness initiatives tailored to member needs. In addition, the coordinator develops promotional strategies to boost participation, manages service provider contracts, and maintains resources on the internal Intranet and physical announcement boards. Beyond the fitness center, the coordinator serves as an educator and advocate, sharing evidence-based resources to help individuals set and achieve fitness and wellness goals safely. They contribute to strategic initiatives that align with Community Health Improvement goals, working collaboratively with health educators, resiliency advocates, and the employee benefits team. The role also includes developing and delivering wellness programs, supporting health screenings, and providing subject matter expertise across departments. Minimum of 2 years of Fitness Training, Health or Lifestyle Coaching experience, including the use of motivational interviewing techniques and behavioral change model.
