The EPIC Youth Hub is a newly established place dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for young people. The Youth Hub is envisioned to be a one-stop site where they feel welcome to engage in systems that will help end their experience of homelessness/housing instability. Our purpose is to empower youth, encourage positive development, and foster a sense of belonging. The Youth Hub Comm Partnership & Activity Facilitator
- Planning and development including setting up facilities, obtaining resources, and establishing operational procedures.
- Work with direct supervisor to manage and track the internal youth Hub budget. Ensure expenditures align with grant requirements and organizational policies and support budget planning, forecasting and financial reporting as needed.
- Design and implement a variety of engaging and educational programs, activities, and events for youth of different age groups who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
- Train and assist staff and volunteers, ensuring they provide a supportive and enriching environment for young people.
- Build and maintain relationships with local schools, businesses, families, and community organizations to promote the center and ensure it meets the needs of local youth as it pertains to homeless or housing instability resources.
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services, adjusting as needed to meet youth development goals and program goals.
- Ensure the center operates in compliance with relevant local regulations and safety standards. Implement best practices for safeguarding all participants, staff and volunteers.
- Develop marketing materials and strategies to promote the center's programs and events, using social media, local advertising, and community networks through Empath's marketing strategies/team.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain accurate data; compile and submit monthly reports in accordance with organizational and grant requirements.
- Attend grant-required meetings, internal leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions; participate in organizational initiatives and contribute to the development of strategic goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education, Social Work, Youth Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Valid Driver's License
- Proven experience in youth program development, management, or community outreach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with youth, community members, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of youth development best practices, child safeguarding, and relevant community resources.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
- Bilingual preferred
