Mechanical Engineering Intern - Onsite - Marlborough, MA

*Internship duration: 3-12 months

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the full product development cycle-from concept to prototype-and collaborate closely with engineers and scientists in a multidisciplinary environment.

What you will accomplish together with us:

• Design and develop consumables, fixtures, and mechanical components
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models using SolidWorks or Inventor
• Rapidly prototype using tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, etc.
• Test and characterize components, iterating designs as needed
• Program and optimize automated liquid handling systems
• Integrate mechanical systems to ensure smooth operation
• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data
• Troubleshoot and refine experimental designs
• Summarize and present findings for internal review

What would convince us:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or Inventor)
• Hands-on experience with mechanical prototyping and testing
• Comfortable with Python programming; GUI development experience
• Familiarity with laboratory automation and data acquisition
