DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee the fiscal department for our Children and Youth Services agency, under the CYS Administrator. Work involves supervising fiscal and clerical staff, developing and assisting with the state and county annual budget process, as well as maintaining a complex fiscal and accounting structure, banking records, and client accounts. Your responsibilities will involve reviewing and monitoring the dependent's fiscal and accounting operations, including such areas as, budget, receipts, expenditures, and revenues.

Our team will rely on you to enter necessary data in state and county systems, prepare and submits quarterly invoicing, and meet with County, State, and Federal government officials and their representatives. You will also assist with various audits, be responsible for the annual evaluation of job performance for fiscal and clerical staff, and attend meetings and trainings appropriate for the performances of the job. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant: or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school: or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration: or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
