Summary The candidate's responsibility as Materials Handler for Warehouse Operations is that he/she ensures the timely receipt, storage, control and distribution of raw materials, finished goods and expensed items. Executes timely receipt transactions utilizing software applications for processing and tracking material(s). Actively supports and participates in inventory cycle-count program. Supports several groups such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain Operations, Quality and other site customers providing Materials Handling needs while operating in a safe work environment. Possess the ability to adjust daily work schedule to meet the varying demands to support manufacturing. Responsible for sampling of incoming raw materials, components, printed materials, advance/final vials, and delivery of samples to appropriate testing laboratories. Essential Functions
- Responsible for the inspection, accountability, and receipt of essential and non-essential materials
- Acts as a technical resource to resolve system issues that pertain to the Materials operations.
- Responsible for the receipt, monitoring, storage and disposition of radioactive materials following state and federal guidelines and established SOP's.
- Responsible for executing accurate inventory transactions for the issuance and movement of raw materials, finished goods and packaging components to Manufacturing, Product Shipment and Distribution areas utilizing the system.
- Directly responsible for systems transactions, control and issuance of inventory for established cycle counting programs within the Warehouse operations
- Assures the storage of essential raw materials and finished goods while maintaining product/lot segregation in compliance with FDA and cGMP guidelines.
- Responsible for the distribution and delivery of processed materials to site buildings utilizing appropriate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet movers, carts and or trucks) adhering to site safety procedures and practices.
- Interacts with Planning and Procurement departments to resolve any vendor receipt issues.
- Sampling incoming components, printed materials, advance/final vials, and chemicals according to SOP and appropriate statistical sampling AQL requirements. Strict adherence to SOP's and cGMP requirements for accountability, documentation, and product segregation is required.
- Coordinate/communicate the sampling and delivery of samples with all QC laboratories (Physical Testing, Microbiology, Radiometrics, and Chemistry). Provide additional samples to the labs as necessary.
- Possess a thorough understanding of GMS and Quality management Systems and training.
- Demonstrates good safety practices at all times including the appropriate use of protective equipment. Reports and takes initiative to correct safety and environmental hazards.

Typical Minimum Skills and Experience and Education
- Associates Degree with 3-5 years' experience in warehouse/materials operations (Pharmaceutical environment preferred) and a working knowledge of software application systems (Pharmaceutical preferred).
- A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of above stated requirements.
Other Requirements
- Provide coverage and support for our Lab watch Monitoring System for refrigerated Product Storage locations on site
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license and or other materials handling equipment.
- Possess the ability to train Material Handlers to operate forklift equipment. (Completion of Massachusetts Safety Council Training program).
- Experience with cycle counting and physical inventory practices and resolution of inventory discrepancies.
- Successful completion of GMP, radiation, occupational and safety training programs.
- Must meet the physical and OSHA requirements for job position.
- Individual must possess the flexibility to handle changing priorities, sound technical skills, and a working knowledge of electronic/computer systems and applications.
- Overtime including weekend support of Supply Chain Operations as required.
