Job Description:

Terex is seeking a Field Service Engineer to operate in a dynamic environment, assisting our dealers/customers in achieving peak performance and reliability with our extensive range of crushing, screening, and conveying equipment. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Manager and collaborate within the technical support team, while also interacting with our engineering and quality teams to ensure prompt resolutions and prevent recurring issues. This role involves both field service work and providing remote technical support from the office. Position based in Louisville, KY, but candidates can live anywhere in the US

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support, commissioning and service for Terex crushing, screening and conveying equipment
  • Working as part of a dedicated team delivering first class service to dealers and customers
  • Provide technical support to the dealer & customer North America network via telephone and internet-based MP Helpdesk.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic faults whilst working closely with our dealer's service team.
  • Collaborate with our engineering & quality teams to ensure referral of all issues are dealt with on a timely basis to enable ongoing product improvements.
  • Escalate equipment quality issues to initiate quality alerts and prevent repeat failures
  • Provide engineering with field performance data and recommended improvements.
  • Show commitment to professional ethics and consistently meet the needs and expectations of internal and external customers. Acts as a Terex advocate in all situations
  • Assist with the display and simulation of equipment and technical presentation
  • Opportunity to travel extensively, primarily USA & Canada

Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with 3-phase electrical control systems including AC inverters advantageous.
  • Experience in quarry / crushing & screening industry advantageous.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a valid passport.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • General mechanical and electrical maintenance skills\Proficient in Microsoft Products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical or electrical systems education preferred
  • Degree preferred
  • Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, both in-person and by phone
  • Decision-making and prompt resolution of equipment failures
  • Independent work with minimal supervision
  • Team player in a diverse environment
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Position based in Louisville, KY, but candidates can live anywhere in the US
