TRIO Programs: The Upward Bound Project EDGE (Exploration and Determination Guarantees Excellence) program is designed to provide opportunities for fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The goal is to increase the rate at which participants complete high school education and graduate from institutions of post-secondary (college and technical) education. Our goal is to recruit participants into the Upward Bound program, retain them, graduate them, and get them ready for post-secondary education admittance and graduation. The Opportunity: The Lead Summer Housing Assistant will reside on-campus overnight to supervise Project EDGE high school students and serve as the lead for the Summer Housing Assistants during the Upward Bound residential week at UCF main campus. This is a unique job opportunity for people who enjoy working with high school students and have group leadership skills. This position will work up to 40 hours per week at $22 per hour. The residential program will be held from Sunday, July 6, 2025, through Thursday, July 10, 2025, at UCF. This position will work a split shift between designated evening and morning hours. Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma and one year previous resident assistant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6). Preferred Qualifications:

Finalist will undergo a Level 1 and 2 background check per UCF requirements for working with minor youth. The schedule for this position is as follows: Sunday 2:00 pm-10:30 pm; Monday-Wednesday 7:00 am-9:00 am & 4:30 pm-10:30 pm. Thursday 7:00 am-2:00 pm. Includes overnight schedule.
