Position: Commission Support Representative

Department: Finance

Reporting to: Commission Manager

Location: Topeka, KS - onsite

Overview:

We're seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Commission Support Representative to join our fast-paced Finance team. This isn't your average commission position; our team manages several business lines with over 60 carrier relationships and hundreds of products. As a key support player, you'll collaborate across teams, tackle complex commission data, and help ensure accurate, timely payments.

The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving problems with a mix of curiosity and precision, brings fresh ideas to the table, and values working with both numbers and people.

What you'll do:

Download daily and weekly commission statements from all carriers
Provide day-to-day commission support for multiple business lines: Annuity, Life, Medicare
Accumulate, interpret, and calculate commission payments received from carriers in accordance with company policies
Process data from multiple sources and standardize formats to prepare accurate and timely commission upload files
Collaborate with internal departments and respond to inquiries regarding commission payments or discrepancies

Experience you'll bring:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and data validation
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively with various personality types and levels of staff
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
Highly organized with the ability to manage a heavy workload and shifting priorities

Bonus Points:

1-2 years' experience working with data or commissions
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience in advanced data manipulation using formulas and macros to streamline and standardize reporting processes
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technology and software
