Scriber
By working independently; prepare airplane/aerospace parts
for the chemical milling process by using a template and scribing tools and
accurately scribing shape or pattern into the protected maskant.

Job Summary
- Verify
the Work Order for task requirement, Verify the CMT number, Pin and clamp
pattern tool onto part. - Scribe
parts using a sharp blade, Repair parts as necessary, by using Mylar tape
AC828 maskant repair and line sealing scribe lines. - Conduct
the strip spark test on the part and protect tool holes. - Differentiate
from clad material from bare material. - Verify
and check maskant adhesion. - Load
scribed part on to transportation cart in a safe and secure manner to
avoid bodily injury and damage to part. - Maintain
proper housekeeping. - Repair
and protect parts. - Read
and understand work order instructions. - Responsible
for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in
their work area. - Performs
other duties as assigned including leading projects and participation in
project committees.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability
to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as work orders and
instructions, chemical usage order form and timecards. - Ability
to write simple correspondence. - Ability
to effectively communicate among all levels within the organization. - Ability
to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. - Ability
to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved
written or oral instructions. - Ability
to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized
situations. - Must
be able to comply with specific safety policies. - Read
and understand internal procedures and policies. - Understand
