Field Service Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

Terex Washing Systems is a single source provider of washing equipment for our Materials Processing Segment. TWS is committed to providing outstanding customer and dealer support and expertise in the field to meet customers' individual needs through our global dealer network as well as our dedicated team of engineers, applications, sales, marketing and aftersales technicians.

Reporting to the TWS North American Service Operations Manager and working with the TWS Sales and Engineering teams, you will be responsible for providing first class plant commissioning and service; focusing on the electrical systems that control machinery and processes. Supporting our dealers and customers in North America including onsite technical assistance, sales, applications, commissioning, and training on our products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working as part of a dedicated team delivering first class service to dealers and customers
• Assist dealers and customers with installation and commissioning of TWS products
• Work closely with on site Electrical contractors to ensure accurate plant connections to utility and component interconnectedness.
• Provide technical support to the North American TWS Dealer Network
• Assisting the sales team with technical sales including application validation in conjunction with the TWS Applications team
• Researching and responding to customer enquiries on parts & warranty
• Provide detailed application and technical training to dealers and customers
• Cooperate with product group engineers and quality team to ensure products are manufactured and delivered to the highest quality standards
• To investigate and resolve customer problems in a timely manner
• Travelling throughout North America to locations of dealers and customers

Skills and Experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• 3 years' experience with PLC programming(Allen Bradley preferred)
• Technical Degree in electrical field
• 3+ years in an electrical trade

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
• Knowledge of industrial controls systems
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 79 and CE requirements
• Viewing knowledge of Auto Cad (Auto Cad Electrical preferred)
• Experience with remote radio controls
• Some knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Excellent written and spoken English, other languages are a plus
• Ability to interact successfully in different cultures
• Strong collaboration and decision-making skills
• Mechanical experience and instrumentation skills

Language: Excellent written and spoken English

Travel:

• Ability to travel, both domestic and abroad and possess valid passport.
• Must be willing and able to travel (approximately 50%)
