Based on the availability of the final candidate, the start date could be as early as May 19, 2025. Job Summary: The Student Services Assistant aids in a variety of activities associated with student services for a department or college. Additional Department Summary: Serves as the primary clerical support for the English Language Institute (ELI). Acts as the first point of contact for visitors to the ELI, in person, by phone, and by email. Coordinates student services at the ELI, which including processing applications, coordinating arrivals/settling in of new students, planning/advertising student trips/activities, and serving as a liaison with various UA offices including, but not limited to, Housing, Student Account Services, and ACTion Card. Provides support to current ELI students regarding day-to-day questions and concerns. Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must be available to work some evenings and weekends. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions. Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work with a student population. Demonstrated ability to type. Skilled in operating Word processing equipment. Knowledge of administrative/office procedures and filing systems. Effective communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
