The Software Engineer - Salesforce Opportunity

The goal of this role is to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions within the Salesforce platform, supporting key business functions across the company. You'll work on innovative projects that improve internal processes and enhance customer experiences, contributing to a more efficient and reliable technology ecosystem.

Reporting to the Manager of Customer Experience, Business Technology, this role will focus on the development and integration of Salesforce solutions that align with strategic business goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead technical implementations, and play a key role in ensuring system reliability and performance


What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement solutions within Salesforce using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative tools.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable system designs.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems.
  • Create and execute unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Design and implement Salesforce Service Cloud features, including Case Management, Knowledge Base, and Omni-Channel routing.
  • Configure Experience Cloud portals for partners and customers.
  • Optimize workflows to improve customer support operations and case resolution times.
  • Support post-deployment activities and troubleshoot production issues to ensure high system performance.


What You'll Bring to the Role

  • 1+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience using Apex, Process Automation, and Lightning Web Components.
  • 3+ years of software development experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce products like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  • Experience working with source control systems and continuous integration tools.
  • Proven ability to deliver full lifecycle projects-from requirement gathering to launch and support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.


And Extra Credit if You Have Experience in Any of the Following!

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, Service Cloud Consultant).
  • Experience with AI-powered Salesforce features like Einstein Bots or predictive analytics.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines specific to Salesforce.
  • Experience in optimizing support workflows and automation within customer service environments.
  • Prior work in a high-growth, fast-paced technology company.

  • This position requires the ability to access federal environments and/or have access to protected federal data. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$128,000 $192,000 USD

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:
$114,000 $172,000 USD

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$111,000 $167,000 USD
