We're looking for a full-time, staff Engineer, Continuous Improvement 2!

We are keen to welcome a full-time, staff Engineer, Continuous Improvement 2 to our team! This critical role is designated to analyze, refine, and optimize manufacturing processes to bolster efficiency, enhance quality, and ensure cost-effectiveness. You will lead robust, data-driven initiatives aimed at pinpointing process bottlenecks, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and driving sustainable improvements within our operations.

In collaboration with various teams, you will have the unique chance to innovate solutions, enhance automation efforts, and introduce fault-proofing techniques that align with our operational goals. An essential understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles, root cause analysis, and process validation is crucial for success in this position, as it plays a pivotal role in optimizing our performance and paving the path for continued sustainable business growth.

As the Engineer, Continuous Improvement 2, here's the work you'll do:

  • Assist in analyzing and optimizing production and operational processes using advanced Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to promote efficiency and quality.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify key trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, employing comprehensive root cause analysis using relevant problem-solving tools (e.g., 5-whys, Fishbone Diagrams) to recommend effective corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives while offering essential training and support in Lean tools and problem-solving techniques.
  • Play a key role in planning, executing, and monitoring continuous improvement projects under the guidance of the Continuous Improvement Manager, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Support the organization's efforts to improve process consistency, product quality, and compliance with both internal regulations and external standards, thus contributing to overarching operational excellence.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business is a requirement for this role.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in process improvement, quality control/quality assurance, lean manufacturing, or engineering is essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, showcasing the ability to effectively drive operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and pattern recognition using statistical and analytical tools to inform and recommend improvements.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement techniques to drive efficiency.
  • Ability to analyze, process data, identify patterns, and recommend improvements using statistical and analytical tools.
  • Experience with implementing process changes, conducting time studies, and using software such as Excel, Minitab, Python, Data Analytics tools, or Power BI (DAX) for analysis and visibility.
  • Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, present findings, and assist in training employees on process improvements.
  • Understanding of production systems, operational workflows, and quality assurance to drive sustainable improvements.
  • May require US government secret clearance.
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Successful completion of background screening process.



In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $75,280 - $112,920. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
