Your Job

As the Data Enablement Specialist, you will be a key individual contributor responsible for driving the adoption, usage, and integration of our Data Quality and Governance (DQ&G) platforms. You will act as a technical subject matter expert and data coach, working closely with both business and technology teams to ensure the seamless adoption of these tools across the organization. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, stakeholder collaboration, and change management to ensure that our DQ and Governance vision is effectively embedded into everyday workflows, providing maximum value to the organization.

Location: Atlanta, Georgia (onsite three days per week)

What You Will Do

Technical Product Ownership & Data Coaching

  • Lead user engagement and enablement initiatives for Alation and Data Quality platforms.
  • Act as the primary advocate for platform usage, ensuring that business and technical users can leverage the full capabilities of the platforms.
  • Develop training materials, conduct workshops, and provide ongoing support to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, optimizations, and automation within the data quality and governance workflows, leveraging your deep understanding of the platforms.
  • Provide hands-on coaching to users across all levels, from data stewards to executives, to ensure the adoption of best practices in data quality and governance.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with data governance, IT, business, and delivery teams to bridge the gap between technical requirements and business needs.
  • Drive change management efforts to help teams understand and embrace new workflows and capabilities enabled by the Data Quality and Governance platforms.
  • Ensure consistent communication of platform updates, new features, and any changes to the DQ&G strategy.
  • Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring that both sides understand the evolving requirements and functionality of the platforms.

Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution

  • Investigate root causes of data quality issues, including platform limitations, process flaws, or gaps in user understanding.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to troubleshoot and address challenges in data workflows, quality checks, and governance processes.
  • Assist with the identification and resolution of anomalies and variations in data through effective use of AI-driven insights and tools within the platforms.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Actively contributes to the ongoing refinement of data quality standards, governance policies, and platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align metrics, KPIs, and data quality benchmarks to monitor progress and drive improvements.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of data quality and governance principles and platforms. Familiarity with data management, data quality checks, and AI-driven insights in the context of data governance.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with data governance and quality platforms, or experience in a data-related role, such as data analyst, data architect, or data engineer.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business users. Experience in change management and driving organizational adoption of new tools and processes.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify root causes and implement effective solutions in both technical and business contexts.
  • Training & Enablement : Experience in creating training materials and delivering sessions to enable users to adopt new tools, processes, and ways of working.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with Alation or other data intelligence platforms and AI-driven data quality tools.
  • Experience in Agile environments or working with cross-functional teams in iterative, fast-paced delivery cycles.
