Essential Functions

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

• Adheres to Corporate Compliance Guidelines

• Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with the Hospital Safety and Infection Control policies as required by OSHA and the Patient Safety Program.

• Adheres to all Jefferson Policies and Procedures

• Assures the appropriateness of drug therapy and compliance with hospital policies.

• Oversees the distribution of medications throughout TJUH as part of the Concierge Pharmacy Program and Jefferson Apothecary.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):

• Candidates should possess strong communication and clinical skills, including fielding telephone calls and offering face-to-face/telehealth counseling.

• Candidate will assist with the Concierge Pharmacy program and also offer MTM/CMR via online platforms where appropriate.

• Candidate will be responsible for directing technician staff where appropriate.

• Candidate will be responsible for utilizing point-of-sale technology when necessary.

• Candidate should have a strong background in inventory management and cost containment strategies.

• Background in 340-B pharmacy is encouraged

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

• Doctor of Pharmacy

Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in outpatient retail pharmacy

Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:

• Registered Pharmacist in New Jersey
