The Vendor Management Manager works as a liaison between vendors and Cox Automotive. This role is responsible for providing ongoing management and relationship management for the vendors contracted by Cox. These teams provide Technical Support to both external and internal customers on CAI software products and systems. Measures vendor planned (i.e., contracted) versus actual service levels and performance. Ensures a positive link between vendor performance assessment, corrective action, and continuous / lasting improvement.
What You'll Do * Works as a liaison between vendors and Cox Automotive. Facilitates development of relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders * Manages the largest and most complex vendor relationships * Monitors performance metrics and trends relating to vendor capabilities and operational performance * Reviews metrics and data to identify performance trends and provides solutions for improvement * Engages with onshore, near shore, and offshore vendors to understand new and pending deals and potential business impact * Leads and contributes to functional improvement initiatives * Communicates findings, concerns, and resolution plans to key internal stakeholders * Develops, implements and tracks the effectiveness of company-sponsored incentives and penalties * Responsible for providing ongoing management and leadership oversight for outsourced contact centers * Facilitates regular operations meeting and process reviews * Anticipates and identifies tasks required to support change processing, including performing change impact analysis, assigning tasks to team members, verbally communicating complex issues, verifying that tasks are completed and communicating implementation status * Leads medium/large and/or moderately complex projects under moderate to minimal supervision * Develops and facilitates presentations for quarterly reviews * Analyzes data involving vendor performance * Performs research and fact-finding to determine business requirements and specifications for development of end-user programs, operational procedures and support and systems. * Autonomy - Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to results expected. Determines and develops approach to solutions * Build strong relationships virtually * Develops detailed project schedules, resource plans, and status reports. Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet customer needs * Perform planning activities for vendor audit projects, based on risk and objectives to ensure their effectiveness * Execute the audit program with adequate support documentation to complete the internal audit * Stay current on trends in outsourcing and re-evaluate program to confirm it is continually efficient and effective for the business Travel: * Up to 25% Who You Are Minimum * Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years of experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years experience, a Ph.D. and 1 year's experience in a related field, or 10 years of related experience. * 7 or more years of experience preferred in Contact Center management * Requires strong communication and presentation skills * Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc. * Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization * Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Preferred * BS/BA degree in a related discipline strongly preferred (i.e. Marketing, Business, etc.). * Prior experience in vendor management desired USD 99,000.00 - 165,000.00 per year Compensation: Compensation includes a base salary of $99,000.00 - $165,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
