About the Role

This role drives organizational resilience to crisis and emergency events by providing specialist Crisis and Emergency Management (CEM) advice and support, developing internal and external CEM capability and performing assurance of company CEM standards.

Duties & Responsibilities




  • Supports the design, implementation and management of crisis and emergency management arrangements, systems, and controls in the business.
  • Provides specialist advice and support to Woodside assets, projects, and business opportunities.
  • Advises upon and reviews Asset/Facility Emergency Response Plans.
  • Develops, implements, and facilitates regional CEM training & exercise plans.
  • Delivers CEM related preparedness and response activities.
  • Performs Line 1 assurance against asset owned CEM controls and plans.
  • Supports company response to emergencies and crises in alignment with Woodside standards, regional and local arrangements.
  • Coordinates Level 2 Incident Management Team (IMT) capability development and rostering
  • Coordinates and delivers training on crisis and emergency management processes, systems, and controls.
  • Coordinates, plans and facilitates cross-asset drills and exercises on crisis and emergency management processes, systems, and controls.
  • Develops and implements cross-asset improvement initiatives for emergency services to enhance organizational capability in emergency response management.
  • Manages nominated service provider capability, service delivery and relationships, ensuring value and quality.
  • Coordinates crisis and emergency response actions and improvement opportunities, identified from exercises, events and assurance assignments.
  • Coordinates the data-management and dashboard reporting from CEM related training & exercising.
  • Supports technical oil spill response preparedness, emergency planning, response services and communication systems contractors
  • Represents Woodside Energy during regulatory interactions, reviews, inspections and exercises.
  • Maintains contemporary CEM subject matter expertise, including participation in industry groups and network of CEM professionals.



Skills & Experiences




  • Experience in the prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery to emergencies or crises, in the public or private sectors.
  • Knowledge and application of ICS (Incident Command System).
  • Experience managing projects and executing continuous improvement activities.
  • Experience in business improvement and change management.
  • Experience in risk management and assurance programs.
  • Ability to influence decisions and performance at operational and senior management levels.
  • Experience engaging and managing a broad stakeholder group.
  • Experience in learning facilitation and emergency management exercising.
  • Advanced visual presentation and report preparation skills.
  • High levels of personal resilience and adaptability.
  • Experience working in, or familiarity with, the energy sector and related hazards.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline.
  • ICS certification (100, 200, 300; 449 preferred)
  • Oil Spill response (IMO2 or equivalent).
