IT Compliance & Controls Analyst

Location: Hybrid with 2 days per week in Newark, DE office location

Your role in our success:

This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining the ITGC Process Inventory, Risk and Control Matrix for both SOX and operational processes. This role involves conducting comprehensive risk assessments, seeking opportunities for process improvements, and providing trusted risk advice to the Information Technology team.

What you'll be working on:



  • ITGC Process Inventory: Develops and Maintains ITGC Process inventory, creates and updates the ITGC Process Inventory and maintain the Risk and Control Matrices for both SOX and operational processes.
  • Conducts Risk Assessments: Perform risk assessments throughout the entire risk assessment lifecycle: Identify, Assess, Manage, and Monitor.
  • Process Improvement initiatives: Identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies by being curious and challenging existing procedures.
  • Risk Advisory: Serves as a trusted risk advisor to the Information Technology team by providing risk advice and guidance.
  • Issue Management: Facilitates risk exposures through final remediation or acceptance.
  • Controls Oversight: Oversees and regularly tests controls.
  • Test Script Creation: Creates repeatable test scripts for SOX and operational controls; automate and performs full population tests, where possible.
  • Risk Appetite Development: Assists in the development and monitoring of risk appetites for top departments risks.
  • Audit Liaison: Acts as a liaison with internal and external audit teams.
  • Education and Training: Educates and trains Information Technology team members on risks and controls.
  • Trend Communication: Stays aware of and communicates emerging risk trends.
  • Risk Data and Analytics: Assists in developing meaningful risk data and analytics.


Who you are:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in IT risk management, auditing, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of IT Frameworks and Standards and Risk Management Principles.
  • General understanding of systems, networks, and information security.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Analytical and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and continuous willingness to learn.
  • Self-Starter: Proactive and able to work independently.
  • Ethical Judgment: High standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
