As a Senior Event Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the strategic execution of marketing events, supporting the sales organization, serving as a liaison for key stakeholders, and evaluating event performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about events, drives innovation, has a positive can-do attitude, and is a true team player. What you can expect to do in this role:
- Collaborates and works cross-functionally with sales and marketing managers and SMEs to define event strategy in support of company and department goals and to uncover new event opportunities
- Develops project-specific event strategies, tactics, and execution plans designed to support multiple verticals and personas
- Oversees marketing event execution across cross-functional teams, including deadlines, owners, and third party vendors
- Prepares, manages, and adheres to event-specific budgets, forecasts spend, anticipates event needs, and seeks ways to improve efficiency
- Builds, manages, and reports ROI results of event activity in relation to spend and provides detailed recommendations for improvement
- Ensures leads are collected and distributed to appropriate sales teams and properly followed up with post-event
- Produces sales training materials and facilitates internal processes for event efficiency
- Identifies and outlines creative dependencies needed to support events, meets with SMEs on material creation and fulfillment through third party vendors
- Researches, negotiates, and administers vendor contracts and ongoing management of vendor relationships
- Virtual/Hybrid Platform knowledge and expertise
- Uncovers and reports media opportunities to third party public relations firm
- Oversees shipment, inventory and storage of tradeshow materials with 3rd party provider
- Researches event best practices and continually hones best practice skills
- Serves as a mentor and helps train junior team members on events, including reporting, campaign creation, lead mapping and automation scoring
What we are looking for:
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, English, Journalism or related major (required)
- A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered
- Preferred Certifications/Licensure: Certified Meeting Planner (a plus)
- 7+ years of experience in all aspects of Meetings, Tradeshow, User Conference planning
- Experience overseeing events in a high tech, fast-paced B2B industry (Required)
- Excellent time and project management with exceptional attention to detail (Experience with Basecamp a plus)
- Experience with a CRM platform (Salesforce preferred)
- Experience with a marketing automation platform (Marketo preferred)
- Working knowledge of Apple platform a plus
- Desire and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Knowledge of virtual event planning
- Passionate about events and data-driven results; you genuinely love the field you're in and want to continue learning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-directed with the ability to take initiative
- Project leadership skills
- Proven ability to think quickly and strategically to resolve conflicts

The below annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
