What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a Licensing Compliance Coordinator responsible for overseeing the North America Field Service team's compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies in the US, Canada, and Mexico. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Electrical Laws in the US and Canada, is familiar with EV Charging Infrastructure, has experience developing and implementing compliance programs, and possesses strong analytical skills. Existing relationships with regulatory and certification agencies and Project Management Skills are also a plus.


What You'll Do
  • Establish a licensing compliance program to provide the Field Service team with clear, concise, and updated information on service requirements by geographic region
  • Manage a knowledge base capturing procedures for service licensing, testing, registration, and reporting
  • Assist in developing training programs addressing regulatory compliance requirements
  • Support the Field Service team with new license applications and renewals
  • Collaborate with internal policy stakeholders to address new and existing government policies impacting service delivery
  • Identify gaps in compliance processes, recommend improvements, and develop systems to track deadlines and regulatory requirements
  • Act as a point of contact with local and state Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to ensure compliance

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of work experience in a licensing compliance-related field
  • Familiarity with California's Registered Service Agent Program, NEVI, or IRA licensing requirements
  • Knowledge of electrical or electronic installation regulations, repair, or EV infrastructure maintenance
  • Working knowledge of Jira or another computerized ticketing program
  • Excellent diligence, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of individuals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

    Expected Compensation
    $80,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
