Position Summary:
The Research Analyst within the Market Strategy group at Coperion is responsible for conducting comprehensive market research and analysis to inform strategic decisions within the Food, Health, and Nutrition markets. This role involves analyzing consumer behavior, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to support growth initiatives and guide company planning efforts. The analyst will play a key part in providing actionable insights that help drive successful marketing, product development, and competitive positioning.
Work You'll Do:
- Conduct detailed market research to identify opportunities, threats, and industry trends in Food, Health, and Nutrition sectors.
- Gather and analyze data on consumer preferences, purchasing behavior, and market dynamics to support SMP's situation assessment process.
- Monitor industry developments, regulatory updates, and competitor activities, providing timely insights to internal teams.
- Develop a deep understanding of consumer demographics, preferences, and buying patterns through qualitative and quantitative research methods such as surveys and focus groups.
- Utilize data analytics to uncover actionable insights for marketing and product strategies.
- Assess competitors through SWOT analysis, tracking pricing, product offerings, distribution channels, and marketing strategies.
- Benchmark company performance against industry peers and recommend areas for improvement.
- Create market forecasts and projections based on historical data, industry trends, and dynamics.
- Provide accurate forecasts for sales, market share, and revenue, aligning with production and marketing strategies.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards summarizing key findings and recommendations.
- Present insights to senior management and stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Communicate complex data and insights in a clear, engaging manner.
Team:
This role is part of the Strategic Marketing & Product Management (SM&P) organization at Coperion, collaborating closely with marketing, product management, and senior leadership teams to inform strategic initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in market research methodologies, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Tableau), and statistical techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relay complex insights clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Passion for the Food, Health, and Nutrition industry and a keen interest in consumer insights and market trends.
