Junior Staff Accountant

We are looking for a motivated & detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to join our team!

Position Overview:

This full-time, in-person position is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 0-5 years of experience to develop their accounting skills in a supportive environment. As a Junior Staff Accountant, you will work closely with the Assistant Controller and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various financial initiatives. Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.

• Location: Decatur, Alabama (In-Person)
• Job Type: Full-Time
• Reports To: Assistant Controller
• Pay Range: $45,000 - $60,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general journal entries in accordance with accounting policies.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts to their corresponding subledgers.
• Account for fixed assets and calculate depreciation.
• Compile annual personal property information for each office.
• Assist in completing Finance department special initiatives as needed.
• Prepare audit selections and workpapers for auditor review.
• Provide miscellaneous reporting as requested by management.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial records.

Qualifications:

• 0-5 years of experience in accounting or a related field (entry-level candidates are welcome to apply).
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
